FOLK is a youth enrichment program of Hare Krishna Mandir, Guwahati where young Students and Professionals are guided by a team of mentors to channelize their energies in proper direction. Youth is the prime time to shape one’s life, however today due to lack of guidance and wrong association current youngsters often succumb to anxiety, frustrations and bad habits. Our FOLK Program is meant to empower these youth by facilitating them to practice the sacred principles of spirituality in their daily lives and help them lead an enthusiastic, blissful and glorious life. A typical weekend program consists of teaching how to apply Vedic wisdom to current world realities. Solutions are provided to difficult problems that youth encounter in their daily lives, such as how to manage stress, how to improve memory and concentration, how to get rid of bad habits, how to excel in life, etc.

Youth are given opportunities to showcase their talent through various temple programs. Special sessions, Gita contests are organized to help them understand right knowledge based on science & spirituality. Personal association is provided to nurture one’s core personality based on strong values. Various recreational activities and youth spiritual tours are conducted to nourish their young minds to think afresh.

The FOLK Program is a great opportunity to transform one’s life and experience real happiness. We Welcome youth to come for an enjoyable weekend & Sunday morning & evening spiritual classes, music, dance and delicious Krishna prasadam.
